If you can't join them, hate them until they go away

First degree - begins this october.
Regret - yet to be decided.
Time until I turn into that bitter 30 year old man that wasted half an hour of my life telling me why nothing is worth the effort and we should all just live in the moment - about 10 years.

In other news, today I almost fainted at karate camp, quite possibly because I didn't have enough sugar this morning.
My medicine was sweets.

  2. YOU ARE A STEM. STEM STEM STEM.

Do y'all have computer engineering? My university offers computer engineering, which is the lovechild of EE and CS. The computer engineers do all the fun hardware stuff and have to remember how to do calculus and understand physics and stuff. Us CS kids just learn how to program and occasionally we do a bit of math. The EEs... we don't really talk about them.

    1. I am a what??

I think computer engineering would be another name for what I plan on doing, yeah. But I don't specifically want to be a computer engineer - I want to be a happy little programmer, with a bit of extra information on the side in case that doesn't pan out... hope I'm not going the wrong way about it

    2. Haha, Science-Technology-Engineering-Mathmatics (STEM).

People make a big deal about folks with vaginas being (or not being) in STEM fields.

    3. Ooh, yup, that's me

Guess they do... and it's gonna be extreme in the uni I'm going to (as mentioned in the post)

Funny, I never think about these things, but I guess there's still a stigma. I wonder how long it will take to wear off... or will it just stick around, even after the sciency fields are filled with women and we're all getting our nails done by stylish men?
